Wind Generating Kit

Originally designed as a classroom demonstration kit this an excellent model to show renewable energy as a power source. However, young children could use this to make their own model with the aid of an adult and older kids could work it out for themsleves. This has no detailed instructions (as intended for class demonstrations) only a picture to work from. Also fits into the QCA unit 2C winding up. The sails turn using the wind up handle producing enough energy to light a small lightbulb.

Hovercraft Construction Kit

Comprising of a fan and motor for lifting, a chamber in which the cushion of air is formed, and a wide skirted base to provide stability. Each kit is packed with a comprehensive set of instructions and drawings, plus a fault finder checklist. TechCard Built It Kit

A new concept, designed to encourage students to construct models that they either design themselves or build following simple instructions. Rigid card that can be cut, scored, folded, shaped and gluded without the need for wood working tools. Pre-punched every 20mm with 5mm holes giving a lattice network of accurate holes and spaces making it ideal for mechnical models. Designed to be used from aged 4 years but equally could be used as an accurate rapid modelling, design and fabrication system for those who are much older. This pack is an excellent introduction to to mechanisms and model building. Includes enough components and full step by step instructions to make 20 models.
